An answer to your Eucsyms problems: a short term fix is to set the
environment variable GEOMDATA to the full pathname of the directory
$geomroot/data, where $geomroot is the top of the geomview source
tree. (Unless you've moved the data files somewhere else, in which
case set it to their new home.)

A real fix is in the latest release in our ftp directory. If you
follow the directions to "source config" before "make"-ing, the proper
pathnames should be compiled into Eucsyms.
