Geomview bug

I have been having sporadic problems with edges and normals, and with Tony
Philips' help I think I know when it happens (sometimes).  If I fly the
camera in close to my object (but not if I zoom in), turning edges and
normals off and on sometimes stops working.  Faces work fine.  And
sometimes it all works fine.  I am running from a pipe so I cannot send
you a file, but I will try to find some circumstances when it  happens
consistently.
