Thanks for the instant response - it works like a charm now.
 
Having gone through the compilation process a few times now, there are a
few things I am idly curious about.
 
I keep getting the following message, and variants of it for other
libraries. What does it mean?
 
	The parent 'make' rebuilds liboogl.a; to force building it here,
	use 'make lib'.
 
Also, during make install I always get variants on the following
message, which makes me believe that I am not getting the best out of my
man pages:
 
	nroff -man geomview.1 | col -b > ../../../man/cat1/geomview.1
	pwd
	rsh poincare.geom.umn.edu cd
	/usr/people/mosher/geomview1.2/src/bin/geomview; nr
	off -man geomview.1
	poincare.geom.umn.edu: Unknown host
