A new Iris version is installed in /u/gcg/ngrap/bin/sgi.
It has a number of new features:

    - File browser automatically starts with its first directory selected
	(i.e. displaying files from the first load-path directory).  [mbp]

    - Implement spherical translation correctly; add "spherical" keyword. [mbp]

    - Make hyperbolic translation work sensibly when "center" = "target":
	move with respect to the origin instead, to avoid rotation. [slevy]

    - Vect visibility is now controlled separately from edges:
	"aV" keyboard toggle and button; +/-vect appearance keyword. [slevy]

    - "-nopanels" command-line option. [slevy]

    - Make appearance-related buttons exhibit their four states.
	When true (e.g. faces drawn), they're bright yellow; when false, gray.
	Once depressed (i.e. overriding default settings), they're indented;
	when in their default state, they lie on the panel, with engraved
	borders. [slevy]

    - Near clipping plane in euc & hyp modes is .07 rather than (extreme) .01.


Side effect: to see VECTs, you need to set the new "+vect" appearance bit
in the backstop appearance.  This is the case in src/bin/geomview/common/main.c
but may not be in private copies of geomview.  So, you must add "+vect" to
the "apdefault" string in main.c.
