This causes 1.2.3 to core dump:
Load something in.
Give it the (mistyped) command:
(merge-ap g1 appearnace { -face })
Loading /u/fowler/sosgv/blueguy/blueguy.comm causes 1.3 to core dump.
It was created using 1.2.3, but still...
