.geomview suggestion

What would you all say to eliminating the geomview feature that allows
a .geomview file in the current directory which overrides the one in
your home directory?

I've seen many situations involving users getting confused because by
a ./.geomview that they weren't aware of.

There are various ways to achieve the present behavior even
if we remove it, in particular, anyone who wants it could add
the line

	(if (file-readable "./.geomview") (read commands ./.geomview))

to the end of the .geomview in their home directory. The
(file-readable) command does not yet exist but could be added in about
5 minutes.
