Hello!

Yes, we do have a version of geomview for generic X11 that runs on
the sun platform. The current version we have on our ftp server is 1.4.3
but within a week or so we will be announcing a newer version (1.5) with
much higher display quality (somewhat comparable to the SGI version).
There are three things you could do:

1. Try out version 1.4.3 of Geomview for X right now by ftping it from
   ftp.geom.umn.edu in /pub/software/geomview-sun.x11-beta.tar.Z (keeping
   in mind that the graphics display quality of this version is very low)

2. Wait for a week or so and then pick up version 1.5 at the same location.

3. Become a beta tester for X Geomview and get a 1.5 prerelease right
   now. Just send me mail and I'll tell you how to pick it up.
