[ REQ 5166]: compiling Geomview for Machten

I would like to compile Geomview for MachTen.  MachTen is a BSD 4.3 UNIX
which runs on top of System 7.  I am having some difficulties with the
Makefiles which came in the 1.5 X11 release.  They seem to build inaccurate
references to the makefiles directory by always appending to the existing
definition.  Are there some others I could try?
