Okay, I've compiled a new geomview binary which may fix the bug.
you can pick up a copy of it via ftp from ftp.geom.umn.edu in:
/priv/daeron/bin/

The file you want to get is "gvx". Just use this as a drop in replacement
for the gvx binary on your system and tell us if the problem goes away.
