 When you start up, the right "button" on the control panel is
activated and only the text of the link is displayed when you click on
objects in the world. Try hitting the left side of the control panel,
so that it turns red. Then the link should be followed.
 The control panel window is deliberately drawn without a border, it's
supposed to stretch across the entire width of the screen on the
bottom.

 There's a lot of so-called VRML on the Net that's not syntactically
correct. Try running it through the VRML checker at
http://www.geom.umn.edu/~daeron/docs/vrml.html. If a particular file
passes through the syntax checker but WebOOGL still doesn't read it,
let us know.
