saving mode in GeomView

Hi!  I'm a very happy user of GeomView.  I've been spending a lot of
time recently setting up the lights and surface properties for various
scenes.  I'd like to be able to save those settings, so that I can 
bring them up again later (for shooting photos and as a starting point
for other, related scenes).  Is there a way to save the current material
and lighting information to a file, so I can retrieve it later?
