bug in alpha for geomview



Hmm. I thought I fixed this problem on the SGI version in April.
There's three factors here: the Alpha slider, the Transparency button,
and the opacity of individual vertices specified inside the geometry.
What *should* happen is that if you set the Alpha slider < 1.0 **AND**
press the Transparency button, the alpha override is set in the
object's appearance and the slider value should override the per-face
or per-vertex opacity specifications in the geometry.

However, sounds like something is going wrong. I'll try to look at it
tomorrow, since it's hard to debug from an ASCII terminal :).
