Yes, please do!

There's a "Transparent" button on the Materials panel; that needs to be
engaged to make transparency effective.  Note that we don't really implement
transparency properly; that would require drawing polygons in a consistent
order, back-to-front or front-to-back.  So if one transparent object occludes
another, you see strange effects.  (Also, transparency can never work
on some machines, e.g. Personal Irises.  It does work on Indigos.)

Probably not... but could you explain what you have in mind?

Not yet... we're slowly working on a source release and will let you know
when it's ready.
