Thanks, that's a good description of the problem.

math2oogl does need to live on the machine where geomview is.
If math2oogl isn't installed in your default search path on the system
where geomview resides, though, then there's another problem with OOGL.m:
it needs to add <$GeomRoot>/bin/<machinetype> to the path, where <machinetype>
is that of the system where geomview runs.  For our software, it needs to be
"sun4".

So to fix this I guess you can type

   SetOptions[Geomview, MachType -> "sun4"]

each time you load <<Geomview.m.  Admittedly this is a pretty ugly solution.
It really would be better to put math2oogl into the search path you get
when you "rsh" into the Sun.  This might mean adding
/a/greatwhite/.../geomview/bin/sun4 to $path in your ~/.cshrc.
