X11 Geomview on a DEC Alpha

Hi,

I downloaded the source code for you beta version of Geomview. Your README
file said that it had been compiled on a DEC Alpha system.

So I tried.....

I made all of the changes that your notes required for the DEC Alpha system.

After about 8-10 minutes of the "make" command compiling various things, I
got the following error:

lisp2c ...
        cd O.sun4 ; make SITE=default all
Warning: CPU changed after being used
rm -f comm.o comm.c
ln ../../common/comm.c .
cc -I../../common -I.. -DRMAN -O -Wall -DMGX11 -DMACHTYPE='"sun4"'
-I../../../.
./../include -c comm.c
sh: 10911 Memory fault
*** Exit 139
Stop.
*** Exit 1

I am at a loss to figure out what the error message means.

If I compile with -O2 instead of -O, I get the same message at the same
point with the only change in the line sh: xxxxx Memory Fault (the number
changes).

If you cannot make any sense out of it, I was wondering whether you could
give me the email address of the people that have compiled it successfully
on a DEC Alpha.

I am compiling it on a DEC 3000/300 under OSF/1 V1.3 with 40 MB memory.
I also tried it on a DEC 3000/500 under OSF/1 V 1.3 with 96 MB menory with
the same result.

Thanks for any help or info.
