[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Problems compiling under freshly installed Irix 5.2
We recently recieved an Indigo^2 with 5.2 on it. We installed the IDO
option and set to compiling geomview.
I'm seeing a weird error, as if there is an old COFF file somewhere.
GEMROOT=/usr/local/src/Geomview
yolanda 45# pwd
/usr/local/src/Geomview
yolanda 46# echo $CPU
iris4
Okay, so maybe there's an old .o files somewhere:
yolanda 48# find /usr/local/src/Geomview -name \*.o -print
yolanda 49#
Nope.
But when I do a 'make', it complains when trying to link 'clipboard'

ld:

This happens on other files too, if I comment clipboard out of the
makefile.
I look at $GEMROOT/lib/sgi/*.a, and they look okay, but when I try to
compile a sample problem, linking with libforms, I get the same error
message.
yolanda 55# cc -L/usr/local/lib -I/usr/local/include example2.c
-lforms -lfm_s -lgl_s -lm
ld:
Object file format error in: /usr/local/lib/libforms.a(slider.o):

yolanda 56#
Any suggestions?
Thanks much,
-rob
