This is entirely dependent on how your computers are set up.  If they
are on a network together and can both access a common disk, then yes,
you can use the same copy of Geomview on both.

As for the rest of your questions, I think it would be best for you to
delete all your current copy(s) of Geomview, download it again, and
start from scratch.  Be sure to download the version of Geomview that
is appropriate for the machine you're using.  Once you have downloaded
it, follow the instructions in the file called INSTALL.  If possible,
please have your systems administrator help out.  If you have the same
(or other problems) again, send us the output of the terminal session
in which they occurred.
