Mike,
    I don't understand how it happened, but somehow the Makefile that
is in the current SGI distribution of Geomview is not the right one.
Please delete your Makefile and replace it with the one below (being
careful not to convert tabs to spaces, of course), then try re-running
the install script.
    If for some reason the Makefile below gets corrupted in transit,
you can ftp it from geom.umn.edu:priv/mbp/Makefile.
    I'm going to correct the main Geomview distribution file
immediately after sending this message, so after about 10 minutes from
now if you re-ftp the distribution
(geom.umn.edu:pub/software/geomview/geomview-sgi.tar.Z), it should
be correct.
    Sorry for the hassle.  It's embarrassing.
