No problem.  To get the "lib/linux/*.a" libraries, retrieve the
Geomview source distribution (pub/software/geomview/geomview-src.tar.Z)
and compile that.  Geomview itself may not compile, since it requires
Motif libraries, but you'll still get the OOGL libraries and include files,
so you can build your own programs and use them with the existing Geomview
binaries.

"software@geom.umn.edu" isn't a user, but it is a real mail alias, and it's
the best place to send this sort of question.

The FORMS library is used only on the SGI version of geomview; the X
version uses Motif, with some tcl/tk modules coming in future.

SunOS 4.1.x binaries should be compatible with Solaris 2.3, in the sense that
older binaries run on the new OS; please let us know if you find otherwise.
