Is this simply a problem with telling Geomview the wrong pathname for
the file? From what you've said above, loading "./data/geom/ecset1"
will only work if you're in the directory "/Geomview". Try starting
Geomview from the directory that contains the data file and then just
giving it the filename, like:

% cd /Geomview/data/geom
% geomview ecset1
