Hmm.  So apparently "sed" is returning an error -- it doesn't seem to do that
on our machines, but we have no RS/6000 here.  It's probably a harmless
error.  You could evade it by editing src/bin/geomutil/maple2oogl/Makefile
and changing the occurrences of "sed" (on lines 70, 78, 85) to read "-sed".
The leading "-" tells "make" to ignore errors reported by that command.

Take care, though.  If you don't actually have maple (commercial software,
from Waterloo Maple Software, Inc.), the maple2oogl installation won't work,
since it needs to invoke maple as part of the installation process.
But then again, if you don't have maple, there's no point in installing the
maple2oogl package, whose only reason for existence is to make maple-created
graphics visible in geomview.  So, if you have no copy of maple, simply don't
set the MAPLE_LIB variable in makefiles/mk.site.default.
