Ah, yes, the "poke-inside-opaque-structures-and-screw-portability"
hack.  I've put in your fix, which seems to work fine on libc 4.x.y
series systems.  Thanks for the info.

BTW: if you want a fast Geomview compiled from the lastest
development tree (ie 16 bit support, etc...), get
/usr3/linux/usr/local/bin/gvx and drop it into your bin
directory.
