That's very strange.  Thanks for reporting it.  It works for us;
can you say something about your environment, like SunOS version,
and what version of X (OpenWindows?) you're running?  My first guess
is that it might relate to shared-library incompatibility; it'd be
interesting to see the output of

  ldd  ...whatever.../Geomview/bin/sun4/gvx
