[ REQ 6657]: customization

To: software@geom.umn.edu
Subject: customization

Hello,

I am a Ph.D. candidate studying aquaculture sustainability. As part of
my research, I have developed an index
containing 3 sub-indices (X; Environmental, Y: Economic, and Z:Social).
I am interested in depicting
case studies with the index where scores are depicted using a volume
formula for a truncated tetrahedronal pyramid. The potential for
depicting such volumes in 3D and color is very appealing to me.

My hope is to be able to morph the pyramid in response to sensitivity
analyses in real time by changing one or more variables of 3 linear
equations. Does this project sound like something of interest to the
Geometry Center? What are your recommendations for pursuing this idea?
Is there freeware available for this purpose? I will be defending my
dissertation in October 1998 and I plan to use an PC-projector. I would
like to have dynamic graphics included. Please contact me at your
earliest convenience.

Thank you,

Rex H. Caffey
