[ REQ 6972]: JGV

Dear Sirs:

I visited your JGV website and had great fun manipulating the 3-d objects.
I plan to install it on my PC to try my hand at creating some interesting
objects.

I read with great interest in your customization section
"
motion inertia: give objects in the scene the ability to move continuously
on their own, while the user independently controls the viewpoint
"

As a hobby, I am currently searching for techniques in generating and
visualizing parametrically controlled geometric objects in real or near
real-time. I have created a 'mobius strip generator', which writes out an
OFF file, and would love to be able to watch the strip curl, twist and
otherwise wriggle in real time as I change behaviour parameters or set
parameters to cycle.

If you are interested in seeing my generator, it is at
http://pweb.netcom.com/~radevenz/downloads/mob/index.html
If I ever find a way to do real time manipulations on the object (with out
having to re-invent everything from scratch) I hope to add controls for
parameters such as curl-rates, twist-rate, a height-function based on length
or time, a width-function based on length or time and a user-selectable or
varying cross-sectional shape.

Any tips or pointers on pursuing my hobby would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Richard A. DeVenezia
