geomview suggestion

Dennis,
    Thanks for your suggestion about a log mode for geomview.  This is
something we've had many long discussions about and at various times
have started to implement.  We've always gotten bogged down in the
internals of it and have never actually finished it, partially because
no one has seriously expressed an interest in it yet.  We are soon
planning to change some things internally about the way the user
interface communicates with the rest of the program, though, and these
changes should allow logged to be done easily.
