initial camera position in geomview

Greetings!
I've got geomview1.2 working, and it looks great.
I approve in general of the idea of starting the camera out
inside hyperbolic space when in hyperbolic mode, but for my
own applications, it turns out that I usually need the camera
outside the sphere. Is this just a matter of zooming? I can't
get the camera outside of the sphere just by using the zoom
tool, though. I tried switching to Euclidean, then zooming,
then back to hyperbolic, but that just puts me back into
hyperbolic space. I guess what I would really like is a way
to toggle back and forth between a view from the center,
and a view from outside. Any advice?
Is there a way I can implement such a toggle from my external
module?
Lee
