Geomview with the FORMS interface is pretty much unusable when you're
not on the local display; using the Motif interface, it works, but runs
much more slowly when using a remote display. So if at all possible,
you should try to get geomview installed on the machine where you're sitting.

Failing that, you could pick up by anonymous FTP from geom.umn.edu the file
	priv/slevy/gvx-irix5-motif.Z

This is a compressed SGI executable (not a compressed tar package); it includes
Daeron Meyer's Motif interface. To install, you might say
   zcat gvx-irix5-motif.Z > ...whatever/Geomview/bin/sgi/gvx
(overwriting the original executable) or you could extract it elsewhere, e.g.
   zcat gvx-irix5-motif.Z > /some/directory/gvx.motif
   chmod +x /some/directory/gvx.motif
In the latter case, you'd need to
   setenv GEOMVIEW_GVX /some/directory/gvx.motif
before running geomview.
